EnergyTAS to carry out the public lighting replacement project in the andalusian municipality of Almensilla

Press Release
14/03/2021

At the beginning of the year, the Almensilla City Council approved the replacement of the municipality’s public lighting system. The awarded company, Monrabal, will be responsible for the complete renewal of the lighting network as well as its maintenance throughout the duration of the contract.
This initiative represents a firm commitment to energy efficiency, achieving greater economic savings and a clear social benefit.

The engineering firm in charge of conducting the preliminary study and executing the project is EnergyTAS, a leading consultancy in the public lighting sector, whose goal in Almensilla is to adapt the existing lighting system by replacing all equipment to ensure compliance with current regulations.

A total of 1,687 lighting points will be renewed and replaced with LED technology, and 26 control panels will be upgraded and equipped with a remote management system to improve response times for incident resolution.
Following the intervention, energy consumption will be reduced by 569,333 kWh, dropping from 827,850 kWh to 258,517 kWh.

These measures will have a direct positive impact on CO₂ emissions, resulting in a reduction of 222.05 tons of CO₂ — the equivalent of 6,721 trees saved.
This project marks a strong commitment by the municipality to a greener, more sustainable lighting system.

Equally important is the safety of residents. True to its commitment to incorporating safe lighting in every municipality it works with, EnergyTAS aims to place special emphasis on outlying districts with insufficient lighting, as well as high-risk areas such as parks, squares, and pedestrian crossings, where poor visibility poses a danger to residents.
This means lighting that is safe for citizens and also for our skies — avoiding upward light projection, properly orienting light sources, and using low-polluting LED lamps.

Once again, EnergyTAS is committed to high-quality projects, focusing on safety and sustainability as the core of its mission, while working hand in hand with Monrabal, one of the leading energy service companies in the sector, renowned for its solid and growing track record.
